USD/CAD: I have opened long position on the pair due to several factors.Increasing geopolitical risk in the current environment favours both currencies due to the fact that higher oil prices are increasing inflation expectations. CAD is known to be a commodity-currency as Canada is net-exporter of oil, however USD is known as Petro-Dollar and benefits as does the CAD. The USD has safe-haven appeal due to its economy and rate differentials to Canada, on top of that the hawkish stance from the Fed is backing the currency as well. In the current environment where the geopolitical tensions are increasing, the USD will be more favoured compared to CAD given it's safe-haven appeal. Even tho there might be a sluggish movement in the pair at these levels, I see the pair rising back up to the 1.41 / 1.412 levels.
UPDATE:
USD/CAD Closed at BE - Given that both sides are remaining open to diplomatic resolutions, with Fed on blackout period, and Canadian CPI later today; I have decided not to remain exposed. USD lacks drivers in the risk-on environment so there is no conviction for me to hold the long position. If today's Canadian CPI comes in softer-than-expected and with oil prices continue to slip from the highs, I will look for a new entry.

-
UPDATE:
First Target Hit - 1.41 key level, with high probability for another leg higher if we stay in the current geopolitical environment.

UPDATE: 27th July 26'
- Second Target Hit
